How It Works: Breast Enlargement

Omaha patients getting breast enlargement often ask us how breast implants work. Put simply, breast enlargement uses silicone or saline breast implants to add shape and sculpt the breasts to the patient’s desires.

Dr. Ayoub usually performs the breast enlargement procedure at an outpatient surgical center. Dr. Ayoub makes an incision and then inserts the breast implant into the breast pocket. This process requires incredible precision, skill, and experience. From there, Dr. Ayoub closes the incision with sutures or medical glue.

Breast Implants and Breast Enlargement

Breast Implant Types

• Saline implants – While they are the oldest type of breast implant, saline implants are still fairly popular. About 40% of women choose saline implants.
