Omaha Teeth Whitening

Your smile is the first thing people notice about your face, and unfortunately many of the foods and drinks we love most can cause severe staining. As part of Westfield Plastic Surgery Center’s comprehensive approach to beauty, we offer teeth whitening treatment by Sinsatonal Smile to complete your look.

Sinsational Smile is an effective tooth whitening system that can reduce stains caused by:

  • Wine
  • Coffee
  • Tea
  • Soda
  • Sports drinks
  • Berries
  • Tomato sauce
  • Smoking

While cutting these items from your diet might not be an option, you can undo staining with fast and effective teeth whitening treatment at Westfield Plastic Surgery Center.*

How Does Teeth Whitening Work?

Using a combination of ingredients proven to safely whiten teeth by several shades, Sinsational Smile comes in pre-filled silicone trays for your comfort. During your twenty minute treatment, an LED light will be used to stimulate the effects of the whitening gel. After your procedure, Dr. Ayoub will provide you with a home treatment system to maintain your results until your next appointment.

Will I Need More Than One Treatment?

The frequency of your treatment will depend on how much improvement you want to see and your personal habits. By avoiding the main causes of staining, such as smoking, coffee and wine, and certain foods, you will extend your results. However, most patients will come in to maintain the results of teeth whitening. You can discuss your expectations and get more information during your consultation with Dr. Ayoub.

Is Teeth Whitening Safe?

The majority of Omaha patients who have used Sinsational Smile have no adverse reaction.* For those who do, the symptoms are very mild and include tingling and a slight increase in tooth sensitivity. These side effects will generally last until you rinse your mouth and quickly subside soon after.

Who Is a Good Candidate for Teeth Whitening?

Most people are good candidates for teeth whitening and see improvement from 1- to 5-shades whiter.* Though most people notice a significant difference after only one treatment, the number of treatments needed vary based on the individual patient’s need and color preference.

Teeth whitening is not effective on patients with stained teeth as a result of certain medications, decalcification, or those born with greyish teeth.  It is not recommended for pregnant or nursing women, or children under the age of 14.

The Sinsational Smile system also causes less discomfort than other teeth whitening systems, with only a very small percentage of people experiencing a slight tingling sensation while teeth are being whitened, which subsides once teeth are rinsed.  Although it will not adversely affect crowns, fillings, veneers, or other dental work, this process will not whiten structures other than teeth.
